Andrés Úlfur Helguson is an Icelandic cultural anthropologist with a deep passion for people, nature, and photography. He has over 15 years of experience guiding in Iceland's diverse landscapes, including mountains and glaciers, serving as a mountain driver, snowmobile guide, and certified glacier guide. In 2018, Andrés founded Iceland Untouched, a family-run travel company that emphasizes quality over quantity. The company specializes in private, small-group tours that offer immersive experiences into Icelandic nature and culture.
They collaborate with local partners to provide high-quality products and services, aiming to give customers a deeper understanding of Iceland's way of life, history, traditions, and untouched nature. Andrés's academic background includes a Masters degree in cultural anthropology from Hunter College in New York. His extensive travels and time living abroad have enriched his ability to connect with people from various cultures, enhancing his effectiveness as a guide.
